Jobs

The new age of natural gas abundance is rapidly expanding economic opportunities throughout the United States and Canada - generating jobs and revenue for states, provinces and local communities.

In 2010, shale natural gas accounted for 27% of total U.S. natural gas production.  By 2015 this share will increase to 43%, and by 2035 it is expected to increase to 60%.  To keep up with this growth, the natural gas community will be adding new, high-paying jobs at a record pace with opportunities for a wide range of skilled workers-from scientists and technicians, to business managers and office staff, to construction workers and truck drivers.

These opportunities will continue to expand as communities across North America take full advantage of our untapped shale gas resources.
