Approximately 98 percent of the natural gas we use in this country comes from right here in North America. Greater use of this clean, abundant, made-in-America energy source will create U.S. jobs and boost local economies, while advancing our national security and energy independence.
Our nation is the envy of the world for our vast domestic abundance of natural gas. In fact, we are the world's leading producer of this clean energy source. So why are we importing more than 10 million barrels of oil each day - much of it from countries whose interests run counter to our own? It's time we put our natural abundance of natural gas to greater use for our economy and energy security.
