Anadarko recently held a grand opening ceremony for a new
compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station in Carthage, Texas,
which will utilize and sell natural gas produced locally in
Carthage.
This fueling station marks the launch of Anadarko's
efforts to expand the company's U.S. fleet of CNG vehicles.
Currently, the company's trucks travel 20,000 to 30,000 miles per
year. By switching to CNG, the company will not only drastically
cut their fueling costs, but will also help support the local
economy.
Doug Lawler, vice president of operations, said he's proud that
Anadarko is helping to advance the U.S.'s energy policy with
natural gas, and that combined with the "the affordability, the
abundance and how clean it is, demonstrates our commitment to the
environment."
